‘I am confident as an actor’ – this is what third generation of actor from Dr Rajakumar family – grandson Vinay Rajakumar declare at the media meet on the launch of his debut film ‘Siddartha’ at Kanteerava Studios on Akshaya Tritiya day - Friday.

I have graduated in commerce from St Joseph College but the cinema was the environment always at home gave me confidence. In the last two years it multifold and on the advice of my father Raghavendra Rajakumar I took training in various aspects. Acting course in director Giriraj camp, dance from Dhanu and action from Appu Venkatesh further built confidence in me.

All those who saw me after preparation in the last two years told that I have the nose of Grandfather Dr Rajakumar. I have seen sixty percent of his of his film, Shivarajakumar Doddappa 80 percent films and almost all of my father and Chikkappa Puneeth Rajakumar. This is again built confidence he observes.

Of course I was child actor in Akasmika, Odahuttidavaru of my grandfather, I was in my father film ‘Naavibbaru Namagibbaru’ and Anuragada Alegalu. The advice of my grandfather given I remember. Keep up your physique and mental ability is what I am also following.

There are pets like Mayoora, Janumada Jodi, Om, Jackie, Gajapathiya Garvabanga in my list he says. I liked the recent Lucia and making of ‘Ulidavaru Kandanthe’ stated Vinay Raghavendra Rajakumar who sees all language films.

Facing the media appears to me special. I was always on the sets of our production house. There is no pressure as such for me. I have to prove as a good actor and I think I can deliver he says. I am taking care on all aspects I have to deliver says VR.

My debut is youth oriented movie and love is major element. It is screenplay based movie than a story based he says. My close friend Jeevan, Prakash uncle directing the film and cousin Lakshman on the sets always for this ‘Siddartha’ I would have a cozy time.

I want to project in the ‘Jackie’ mood in my first film of my ‘Chikkappa Puneeth Rajakumar’ said Vinay after a careful thought on how his debut film should be on silver screen.
